Can you describe briefly what Kikora do?
We help students learn math.
How does your product work? or What type of services do you offer?
The key to Kikora is to help students with their problems by giving them continuous feedback on their progress. Teachers can free up time to use it where it matters. We provide a web-based service, used by students all over Norway and Sweden.
What do you want to change?
We want to make learning fun and engaging – but also effective and with a purpose. All kids can learn. We want to trigger the curiosity and the need-to-explore in all students. And help them fulfill these needs.
Why did you choose edtech?
We’ve been a technology-based math company for years. Have never really chosen anything. Just wanted to make learning better.
What do you see are the biggest challenges in this market?
Creating an awareness of the potential of good digital learning products among the users and creating an industry that’s sustainable.
What is your next big steps or ambitions?
We’re committed to create an even better Kikora. We’re hiring more teachers and developers as we speak to create better products and making more content that we think is important – learning by exploring.
In what way has being a member of Oslo Edtech Cluster made a difference for you?
The cluster can be a door opener to sharing knowledge, finding new partners and to exploring international markets. But the more you invest in the people and colleagues in the cluster, the more benefits you’ll get.
How many employees do you have?
We are growing. And will soon be 20 people. Full-time and part-time
